What does the Benchmades warranty cover?

Every Benchmade knife is built to last—and we stand behind that promise with our limited lifetime warranty. If your knife has a manufacturing defect, we’ll repair or replace it at no cost.

Coverage includes:

  • Blade and handle replacements
  • Internal mechanisms (springs, locks, washers)
  • Handle hardware or structural failure
  • Functional issues not caused by misuse or modification

We do not service or sharpen non-Benchmade knives. If your knife experiences the same failure within 60 days of service, we’ll cover return shipping. If it happens three times consecutively, we’ll offer alternative solutions. Still unsure if your issue is covered? Send it in—our team will inspect it and advise the next steps.

What is Benchmade's LifeSharp service?

We don’t just build knives for life— we help you maintain them for life, too. LifeSharp is our complimentary maintenance service for all authentic Benchmade knives.

Every knife sent in receives:

  • Professional sharpening
  • Deep cleaning and lubrication
  • Full inspection and hardware adjustments
  • Tune-up of deployment and lockup mechanisms

There’s no charge for the service—just cover shipping to us. We’ll handle the rest, including return shipping.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

Where are your products manufactured?

Our products are manufactured both locally and globally. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.

What is Benchmade's return policy?

We get it—sometimes the perfect knife takes time to find. If you’re not fully satisfied, we offer hassle-free returns for eligible products purchased directly from Benchmade.com.

Return eligibility:

  • Return within 60 days of delivery
  • Item must be unused, uncarried, and in original packaging

Not eligible for return:

  • Custom knives, Gold Class, Limited Editions, and Cutlery
  • Used or modified products
  • Orders not placed on Benchmade.com

Return process:

  1. Visit our Returns Portal
  2. Enter your Customer PO# (starts with “1100”)
  3. Select the item and refund method (card or gift card)
  4. Print your packing slip and ship the item to us

Refunds: Issued within 7–10 business days after we inspect your return.

Why hasn't my order shipped yet?

Most orders from benchmade.com ship within 2 business days for in-stock items. However, personalized or custom knives take longer due to additional craftsmanship and processing.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Standard (Inline) Orders: Ship within 2 business days
  • Personalized Orders: Ship within 5 business days
  • Custom Knives: Ship within 10 business days
